Christmas Eve at John and Ming's

As already reported -- every week I visit John and Ming -- and every week I carefully examine the latest ceramics from John's kiln -- holding them up to light (they're often translucent) -- turning them around in my hands -- and commenting on how they feel (there's always some new glaze that he's been mixing up)

But on Christmas Eve, I was presented with the above bowl of vegetable soup -- and I have to admit that I found this almost-random pattern of shapes and colors just as attractive.


(and I got to eat it !)
