"In Paris you have the Saint Chapelle and the Louvre, true enough, but we in Chicago kill eighty thousand hogs a day!..." The man who says that is in truth a business man.... Leon Bloy
Well, here you are less intimidating than I have sometimes pictured you. I found it interesting that there are shots of the sculptures in your shop but nothing is verbalized about them, no questions asked that the viewer hears...and that circular saw? Why IS that by the CDs?
Okay, we finally see what's on the other side from The Back of Chris Miller's Head!
And why did they keep peeking at the sculptures but not say a word, I wonder? Amanda's right; it's curious. Maybe they'll come back and do Chris the sculptor. Or Chris the blog collector.
I was so shocked to see my resemblance to a homeless serial killer -- I never noticed that they showed my sculptures but never mentioned them.
Regarding Lori's claim to fame -- I'll soon be watching "Slackers".
(I can't wait to see "a day in the life in Austin, Texas among its social outcasts and misfits" -- it sounds like I could be typecast for the sequel: "Slackers in Chicago")

Well how can one follow that for "cool"!
ReplyDeleteThe camera-person clearly had difficulty it keeping off your figures Chris, I expect the sound track was edited!
As for the saw, could it be some clever security device to ensure your sculptures do not walk!
Fabu! The Other Side of Mr. Miller! You have great camera-presence, BTW.
ReplyDeleteHope that brought more folks to your shop, and hope they think to ask (and come back for) the sculpture.
BTW, here's my Warhol-time -- I played The Traumatized Yacht Owner in this movie:

:-)
Thankyou one and all !

so this is what Chris looks like from the front... I like the timbre of the voice -- finally I can hang a sound on all those words.
